March 19th, 2010
The 2010 Muster formations were conducted by Citadel Clubs worldwide on March 18. I know of two clubs in District 4, Greenville & Anderson, that conducted Musters, where the names of Citadel alumni who have died in the latst 12 months are remembered. Thanks to Luke Hardaway of the Greenville Club and Bill Motte of the Anderson Club for organizing their club’s muster. I was fortunate enough to attend the Anderson Club’s muster which was held at Sue’s Wings & Things at HWY 81 & I-85.

A great time was had by all who attended even if the score didn’t go our way. The Greenville Citadel Club did a great job wth the barbeque lunch. The next big tailgate is November 8 at Wofford and the Spartanburg Club will have an excellent event, as always.

The Westin Poinsett on South Main in Greenville will be the HQ hotel for the weekend. MG Art Baiden, Chairman of the Board of Visitors and Greenville resident, will host a cocktail reception at the Westin Poinsett Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.
The Greenville Citadel Club & club President Chris Maxon will host a tailgate party behind Paladin Stadium on Saturday. BBQ will be on the menu and you don’t have to RSVP, just show up, pay your $10 and eat BBQ before the Bulldogs’ Victory.
Tickets for the game at $25 and should be available the day of the game. All seats on the Bulldog side are general admission.
Please be aware of Furman’s alcohol policy. They do not allow it and the Greenville Sheriff’s Department patrols the parking areas. They will make you dispose of your drink, so be aware and put it in a cup. I guess we don’t have to be reminded that Furman darn sure ain’t The Citadel and Greenville is not Charleston!! Have fun and GO DOGS!!!
